- May 1873, Day of 24
- May 24, 1873, marks the parliamentary day during the third republic on which the conservatives in the National Assembly, at the instigation of the duke of brogie and others, voted as an order of the day to censure adolphe Thiers, who was judged as too favorable towards the republicans. Thiers had to resign and was replaced by edmé mac-mahon.
